Situated in Coal Harbour, 22 km from Port Hardy Ferry Terminal, The Oceanfront Inn on Stephens Bay features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and water sports facilities. Stephen’s Inn is for sure one of the most special places you could visit on Vancouver island: the view right out on to the water, having some sea lions say hello every now and then, watching the full moon rise over the hills… it’s such a magical view, that you can get both out of the super comfy bed and out of the bathing tub, that’s big enough for two. Stephen is a chef, creating breakfast that’s better than any food we tried on the island- with lots of nice seafood fresh out of the ocean. One day we took the kayaks that are free to use, travelled down the coast and watched the orcas blow their water fountains from a far. The detail and care Michelle and Stephen put in hosting their guests made us feel warmly welcomed, making it really hard to finally pack our bags and leave. We will for sure come back!

Nimpkish Hotel is located on the beachfront in Alert Bay, Cormorant Island. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Pemba did her utmost to welcome us and make us feel at home. She cooked us a delicious, healthy gluten free porridge for breakfast and made us wonderful Indian food for supper, like prawn curry and butter chicken, as well as fresh local salmon. She gave us knowledgeable advise about the island, and a very special send-off the evening before we left. We felt very pampered! There are comfortable seating areas, inside and out, overlooking the bay. The hotel is not far from the pub, which has live local entertainment to join in on on Saturday night. A memorable experience.

Seine Boat Inn offers accommodation in Alert Bay, on Cormorant Island. A scenic ferry ride takes guests to the property. Rooms include a flat-screen TV. Yes, view, suite, location, host - all were great! Most highly recommended.

This Campbell River accommodation boasts views of the Beach, Lighthouse and Discovery Passage. All cottages offer a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Free WiFi is provided. Everything about the driftwood by the sea is amazing. Perfect location, short walk into town plus the beach is right across the road. The owners are beyond kind and helpful and have made it feel like a second home. With cooking facilities for those nights you need a home cooked meal!

The Tofino Paddler’s Inn is perched on the waterfront of downtown Tofino. The building has a lot of character being around a 100 years old and the town’s original hotel. The Inn has five rooms. It is difficult to list. Everything was awesome. We arrived at 2am to see Jan with a broad smile to gives us a warm welcome. Fully equipped kitchen, stylish bedrooms, great patio with a stunning view of the harbor.

This hotel is located on Long Lake, 10 minutes from downtown Nanaimo, British Columbia. It serves a daily continental breakfast and all rooms feature a lake view from a balcony or patio. Very clean, comfortable room. Great lake view. All staff were very friendly, polite and professional. Nice little breakfast.

E-Bikes and Kayaks: Explore Victoria like never before with our complimentary e-bikes, kayaks, and SUP adventures. Excellent hotel. Quiet place, convenient pathway to city center. Very friendly and helpful team. Well equipped apartment. We stayed 7 days and enjoyed every day!

The Hiker Huts is located in Port Renfrew. The inn provides both free WiFi and free private parking. Selected rooms have a kitchen with a fridge, an oven and a microwave. All units include bed linen. Great location and really cute accommodation, everything was clean

Quality Inn is located in Nanaimo, within 12 km of Wildplay Element Park and 3.3 km of Petroglyph Park. Exactly what we were looking for. A nice, clean, comfortable room located near downtown and the harbor for a reasonable price with parking. A few semi-related tips. Neck Point Park is about 15-20 mins away with incredible views of the ocean and potential to spot marine life (we just missed a pod of orcas). Also the Save on Food in the Nanaimo suburb was the best grocery store we visited in the island/Vancouver/Calgary if you are cooking your own meals.

Meares Vista Inn is a family-operated motel located in Tofino. Free WiFi and free private parking are available at this laid-back property. There is a shared kitchen at the property. The host was quite friendly and we were able to do our laundry. She even gave us washing powder. The room was really nice and clean. The view is beautiful and the location great.
