Located in Langwies, 8 km from Arosa and the Weisshorn Cable Car, Gasthaus Edelweiss offers free WiFi and a restaurant with terrace and panoramic mountain views. This is the only guesthouse I've stayed where I genuinely felt like a warmly welcomed, personal guest. All the details of the service made this such a special experience above being a very lovely place to stay. The room is super clean, the shower steaming hot, the pillows soft and cosy. We had a beautiful view of the sunset over the mountains from our room, enjoyed beers on the terrace and took advantage of the little playground for our son. Every morning the breads were fresh and each item of the breakfast, although "standard " buffet fair, was so nicely selected and well considered that it was just right. We had dinner at the guesthouse restaurant and loved that the gentleman running the guest house gave our son a colouring book and markers to help save our sanity while dinner was prepared. I could write a whole essay on how much we enjoyed this place. Just stay here. It's great.

The family-friendly Gasthaus Alpina enjoys a quiet, secluded location in Tschappina amid the Grisons Alps. Sandra is an amazing host - going that extra mile to make your stay pleasant. We loved the place - it is furnished and decorated with love and such attention to detail. You do feel welcomed and taken care of. I wasn’t aware that there was additional charge for sauna - my bad, I probably missed it in the description. We loved the food - the portions were fair and with three course dinners we were hardly managing to eat if all. Sandra kindly offered a full story behind each dish (whether it was traditional Swiss, which region, if locally grown, home made)! Sandra also mentioned the Tchapinna ski area which I recommend if you need to take it easy or have any beginners in your group (CHF36 ski pass which is great for Switzerland. Only ski lifts which is tiring after a while. Still a great day skiing just 10 min from Gasthause Alpina). 40km of piste but not as diverse and large as Flims Laax Falera where we preferred to spend most of our days (CHF90 per day). A fantastic stay!

Such an amazing setting and the staff is incredible…very accommodating, room was fantastic and the food was amazing!
