This family-run guest house is located in Görisried, in the Ostallgäu countryside. It offers free Wi-Fi, bowling alley and home-made regional cuisine. Nice rustic Gasthoff with great history. Room was huge,bathroom had the size of living room. It's classic Bavarian guesthouse, with stylish massive wooden beds,doors,ceilings..... Very impressive decoration and style everywhere around you We used the restaurant for dinner which was packed mostly with locals, the food was very good ,portions generous, beer tasty. We also had delicious and tasty breakfast which I believe costs 8 euros per person,but it was worthy every penny Gasthoff is located in very touristy attractive area,we went to Neuschweinstein castle the next day and it was not far away from there. Our stay was nice amd calm,restaurant was vibrant and full of life....the morning you wake up with church bells tolling across the street and roosters from nearby homes announcing the sunrise and dawn of new day

Cafe Maria - Pension - B&B is set in Rieden am Forggensee, 31 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and 40 km from Oberstdorf. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. We had a top floor room (14) with a lovely view of the lake and the 2 castles. We had our own balcony too. The spacious room was typical of the area, very natural and traditional. The shower was hot and powerful and the beds comfortable. We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff, notable the owner who is a great English speaker and Angela. The breakfast was also amazing with a good range of fresh produce and breads, cold meats and cheeses to name but a few. The whole place is incredibly relaxed and a view to die for. We went on a nice boat trip around the lake for 17 Euro which was lovely. Definitely a must place to stay if you want to visit the Fussen area.
