Such a great inn, comfortable spacious rooms, amazing food and staff, great atmosphere
The buildings and ground are beautiful - accommodation is a very small premier inn!
I really enjoyed my stay this time for work, I was informed when I arrived that I had been upgraded and the room was lovely. Much bigger than my last room i stayed in which was more comfortable for me. Breakfast was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner which was the first time we had an evening meal
Stunning community run Inn - Staff are so efficient and friendly and the food is amazing! Rooms are lovely, clean and bright.
Within an easy walk of the main shopping area of Newbury, Chequers is a quirky old hotel with comfortable rooms, I think maybe an old coaching inn? Breakfast was good, with a self service cooked selection and a continental table. Not everything on the menu was available for dinner, but we had a lovely meal of sea bass and sticky toffee pudding.
spacious rooms. clean and tidy. helpful staff. Great dinner recommendation.
The Queen's Arms is situated north of the M4 at East Garston: leave the motorway at exit 14 and take A338 northwards, turning left at Great Shefford towards Lambourn. It presents a somewhat rustic appearance - a country pub with extensions. However the rooms are comfortable and the cooking is very good - dinner and breakfast were much enjoyed.
Despite renovations it has retained its rustic coach house feel. Room 6 was fab: bed was flipping huge! The chef deserves a medal: my dinner and breakfast were among the best I’ve had. The food alone tempts me back.
Atmosphere, ambience, location, rustic look, delicious evening dinner.
