If you head over to EMF after kissing the Blarney stone, you can try and lift the laughing stone from the castle. Its about 25kg so plenty of nourishing food and drink to build up to it. It is a new experience and a welcome bit of added unique Blarney magic.

From beginning to end our stay was amazing and I was so impressed with the sound proof of the rooms staying over a tavern. Also the breakfast was delicious and staff friendly. Great place to stay if visiting the Blarney stone.

A great location in what felt like a traditional Irish night! Only a literal stones throw from the actual Blarney Stone - a perfect location to stay overnight. We walked a minute or so before we entered the castles. Though it’s above a pub it’s incredibly quiet in the rooms! Didn’t even hear our neighbouring rooms! We had a beautiful dinner, and even better breakfast, well worth the stay!
