Regional flavours can be ordered at a restaurant run by locals and located outside the property. It is very close to the amazon (virtually in the middle of it), very good breakfast and very clean jungle lodge. Got a very good experience. It'd just a cheap bus ride from the airport and/or the city. Staff were very sweet

Being located in the Amazon Region and close to the amazing river, guests can enjoy canoeing trips to explore the eco-system, experience night time safaris and go hiking on one of the nearby trails. The property can arrange private or group tours to destinations like Puerto Narino, Tarapotos Lake or Yavari River with bilingual guides. The room was very big, clean and it had insect mesh in every opening (apart from the door, obviously). The staff as extremely helpfull, they provided us with local intel on restaurants and tours. They explained as well how was living in Leticia (peaceful, quiet and easy going). They even provided us with a room to stay after checking out to relax and get a shower in between tours, as we were staying a night out in the jungle. Breakfast was really tasty (juice, fruits, coffee and scrambled eggs with local pepper) and they provided us with fresh drinking water. It was a incredible stay furthermore when compared with neasrby alternatives.

Great resort in the jungle. This property is secluded as it takes a 45 min boat ride to get there from Leticia. Good food and an amazing pool & main lodge area.
The lodges are actually in the jungle and the atmosphere is very nice and wild. They are quite far from Leticia, but you can reach them by public bus in less than 30 minutes
We loved our stay at Omshanty! The lodges were clean and comfortable, the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated and the mosquito nets kept mosquitoes out! The staff we interacted with on the property were all lovely and helpful, willing to help or give advice. We also organised local tours with indigenous guides through Omshanty. The minibus into town is also really convenient, runs often and is very affordable. Perfect to get a few groceries or jump on a tour in town. We highly recommend staying at Omshanty.
Great little lodge in its own jungle surrounding with great family working to keep the place a paradise It’s out of the madness of Leticia but the very frequent bus to km 11 is ideal
Given the conditions it was rather comfortable here, there was even a pool! The lodge is next to the water with a big garden, and the place felt well taken care of. There was even wifi (perhaps strong for being Puerto Narino but very weak compared to Bogota. good enough for whatsapp messages and some browsing) It was nice being able to book the tours directly from the lodge, and what they didnt have available Zoraida helped me arrange from elsewhere the place felt quiet social, despite not having dorms
Carlos, the host, is so helpful. He offers advice on things to do and is so flexible when organizing lifts into Puerto Nariño. The lodge is a 10-minute boat, or half hour walk from Puerto Nariño which wasn't a problem at all. It's so relaxing and is right in nature. I would go as far as to say that the location of the lodge is the best that I have ever stayed in. I would highly recommend this place and I would 100% return next time I'm in the area.
due to bad internet there was a misunderstanding about booking conformation. Lodge appeared to be fully booked. But owner did some calls and arranged a place nearby (200 meters) very nice place!
James the host is super hands on and accomodating with whatever you may need. Great lodge on the amazon river. You get what you pay for. Overall great experience.
