The owner and crew are super amazing and very friendly. The breakfast is delicious, it is hand-made and has several options. For lunch and dinner, you can prepare your own food. There is a grocery store 10 min away from the property by car. The property has all kitchen utensils you would need for cooking. There are restaurants around the zone as well. We had the chance of seeing little turtles and an unthinkable and awesome sunset while raining. This was not planned but it might common in that zone.

Guacamaya Lodge is so perfect in itself, and yet, with its location a few hundred yards from a breathtaking, expansive beach, your greatest dilemma will be whether to lounge poolside sipping mojitos, or get some exercise and head to the playa. Surrounded by the jungle and offering a wooden restaurant, palapa roof bungalows and a swimming pool, Mundo Milo Eco Lodge is located 350 metres from Juquillal Beach.

Mundo Milo Eco Lodge is 5 km from a golf course and 30 km from Las Baulas National Marine Park. Daniel Oduber International Airport is a 1-hour drive away. A really nice Lodge and super friendly hosts. we stayed with 2 little kids and liked it very much!

Cabañas Cañas Castilla is located on the shores of Sapoa River and 10 minutes’ drive from La Cruz town. It features Orosi Volcano views and one day tours to Nicaragua.

The accommodations include a fan, safety deposit box, seating area and a dining area with a fridge. They also feature a furnished terrace with garden and river views. The bathrooms are private and have a shower and free toiletries. We got there around 7 pm, and even though it was very busy, the owners were very gracious and showed us to our room so we could get the kids settled and then checked us in. It's a beautiful property surrounded by plants and wildlife. It's always very clean and the refrigerator is great to have.

Will keep this on our short list of great places in Costa Rica!

Barra Honda National Park is 36 km from the lodge. The nearest airport is Nosara Airport, 66 km from Cabañas del Bosque. Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!

The lodge offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a hair dryer and shower. An oven and microwave are also featured, as well as a coffee machine. We were so impressed by this property. The cabana style rooms where really cool and comfortable, within a gated area so while close to the beach there aren't cars passing by. The best part about it is the pool and BBQ area - it's really spacious, has tasteful styling, and there's a hot tub! It was so inviting that we spent a night cooking and swimming there instead of going out. I'd recommend it to anyone! Bonus - we saw a couple of snakes around the room :D
