Sophia and Luc are warm, generous people. not only did Sophia provide a wonderful welcome, on my way out they both came and rescued me from a flat tire and changed it for me!

We are located on the safest routes to and from Addo Park, including leading up to the lodge. We are centrally located in Addo area between the Garden Route and R62, for those planning round trip back to, or coming from Outdshoorn. If you do travel from Port-Elizabeth, please drive via R75 to us. A special thank you to Mike, Marietjie and Jayden for the splendid hospitality, personal touch, approachability and accessibility. With a few adaptions and developments, this location could become popular with birders.

Port Elizabeth is 35 km from Charihandra Game Lodge, whereas Addo is 19.4 km away. Absolutely lovely private game Lodge near Addo national park. Excellent food and lovely staff. Chalets were beautiful. Great views from the pool. Went for game drive on their property and saw many different animals and was able to feed giraffe.

It is the most amazing place I have ever stayed. We will definitely return as soon as possible. Would highly recommend this place.

The Lodge is situated on a private game reserve, which boasts over 17 species of wild game animals, including a large family of giraffes. Safaris and day trips can be arranged.

Valley Bushveld Country Lodge serves authentic South African cuisine. During cold winter evenings, guests can enjoy a drink in the lounge with a huge fireplace. The room was very good lodge accommodation. Position at top of a valley with nice garden and a view of the veld and game on opposite side of valley was great. Guests can take a walk around the surrounding farm and there is a very good chance of seeing Zebra, many Giraffe, Impala, Black Impala and several other big animals, I couldn't name. When we drove from lodge to main gate we came very close to approx 10 giraffe and several zebra - without even trying. Another real highlight of the stay was the dinners!! Vanessa and her daughter, Heinri, do a truly outstanding job - its like a top restaurant but only a few diners each night. The lodge is well positioned for a visit to Addo Elephant park - which is another great trip.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy a buffet or a Full English/Irish breakfast. It was our first experience of a game reserve and it didn’t disappoint! From start to finish it was just amazing in every way. Our Guide called Teacher was the absolute best!!!

Sitting on the veranda looking at the mountains and with Impala and Ostrich walking around.

Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. It is beautiful, from the landscaped gardens overlooking bushveld to the gorgeous rooms. The staff greeted us upon arrival and after every game drive. The food was great.
