We loved this place - so much character, Everything was thought of in so much detail… the rooms were cozy and so comfortable, we really felt so well looked after. the public spaces were also excellent , hardly wanted to go out as we wanted to enjoy the bar, the little courtyard, but we had to see the town ! Reggis was also fabulous and a friendly and gracious host!

Hôtel Anne d’Anjou is very well located in the center of Saumur, close to the Castle and the city center. You can park your car in front of the Hotel and everything is at walking distance. The bedroom is very comfortable and I highly recommend the bathroom. The staff is very friendly, polite and professional. The must is the breakfast with a large choice of savoury and sweet food. Great choice of Viennoiserie and cheese.

We have been visiting this hotel for over 35 years and seen a number of changes come and go. I have to say I think the d’Anjou is going through a good period at the moment. The redecoration is tasteful and comfortable, they have some super staff and of course the location is great. The newly restored Art Deco restaurant ( which we remember being a garage!!!) is simply sensational.

I chose a cabin to stay and it was a great choise. I washed my clothes and got them dried in the sunshine. The restaurant was really good, I recommend. It's an amazing place. Lots of activities for kids and families. The kids loved all the activities and they were always busy. For breakfast, you can order croissants the previous night and pick them up after 8am in the morning. Very good croissants. And we ordered there every morning. For dinner, the pizzeria is very good, lots of good selection and choice. For activities, there are boardgames, foosball (baby foot), bike rentals, swimming pools, playground and a lot more.
