Beaumont Hotel is situated in the heart of the market town of Hexham, less than 10 minutes’ walk to the rail station. Understated elegance in every aspect, and outstanding quality in every aspect as well! Rooms - size, decor, amenities, view, rooftop patio for one of our rooms, both rooms just wonderful! A very nice, new, efficient, quiet, elevator Parking - right in front of the hotel ! Location - across from a beautiful park and close to town center Food - beyond excellent !! Dinner, breakfast, wine list far exceeded expections!! Value for cost: while not , definitely feel like we received extremely high quality service, lodging,, food and drink for the price Owner/Manager Roger - went above and beyond, sharing menu information, wine suggestions, food options for our two 9 year old children The rest of the staff were equally inviting and helpful at all times, from our reception host on 6/15 to the he lady staff member who helped me find more sugar at 0500 on 6/16 to our waitstaff. We stayed in 5 different hotels during our trip to England, all of the same "level", and this hotel far exceeded all others on this trip, and definitely in the top 5 of all hotels in our lifetime travels in terms of the combination of all factors that make a stay pleasant - elegance, quality, amenities, convenience, service. Well done!!

Lairds House has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bedlington. The property is around 20 km from Northumbria University, 20 km from Theatre Royal and 21 km from Newcastle Train Station. Foods & services offered by Lairds house are fantastic! We are lucky to have a perfect Sunday Roast. It was one of the best Sunday Roast we have ever had. The full English breakfast with coffee and orange juice made us start a lovely day. The staff are helpful with lovely smiles and gives good hospitality.

The Greenhead Hotel has a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Greenhead. This 3-star hotel offers a business centre and free WiFi. Great hotel conveniently located for hiking Hadrian’s wall. The attached restaurant had delicious food. We actually ate breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The rooms looked like they had just been updated. There were picnic tables outside the property so we could enjoy the nice weather.

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, The Cookie Jar (Alnwick) was formerly the Convent of Mercy, and is just 0.2 miles from the centre of Alnwick. Words really fail me to explain how special this property was. The attention to every single detail was exquisite. I’m a professional organizer. My business is details. I’ve never seen anything like this. Everything - even the lights on the floor that automatically come on when you walk into the bathroom - was planned perfectly when this former convent was remodeled to make a sacred space for all its guests. There was even framed sheet music in the halls to, I assume, pay homage to the beautiful music that must’ve once graced the hallways. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was like something out of a Veranda magazine spread. The breakfast was delicious. At every turn in the hotel and the room itself, we were met with a delightful and unexpected experience. Who puts this much thought into a public space? The Cookie Jar does. You made our once-in-a-lifetime trip unforgettable.

Located in Warenford, 8 km from Bamburgh, White Swan Inn features free WiFi access and free private parking. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. Everything. Cannot fault this place. Not the first time we have stayed, and wont be the last. What a gem of a find.

In the heart of Northumberland, Matfen Hall Country Hotel, Spa and Golf Estate is a true escape to a luxurious world. Beautiful property with attentive staff. Not cheap but worth every penny. Will definitely come back!
