Maitai Rangiroa is located between the villages of Avatoru and Tiputa, on one of the largest lagoons in the Southern Hemisphere. Excellent hotel with an equally excellent restaurant on-site. I also spent a lot of times at my friends hotel, the Kia Ora, and we both agreed that the Maitai was nicer at half the price.

Facing the beachfront, Raira Lagon offers 2-star accommodation in Avatoru and features free bikes, garden and terrace. The food was excellent and the staff was wonderful.

Situated in Avatoru, Te Mao has a garden, terrace, water sports facilities, and free WiFi. Each room is equipped with a balcony. I like the sea view, the quiet time to relax and snorkle. The possibilities to rent a bike and the owner being so nice driving me around to grocery store and airport.

Featuring garden views, Chez Taia et Véro in Tiputa offers accommodation with free use of kayaks and bikes, barbecue facilities and a garden. Complimentary WiFi is provided. Chez taia et véro is exceptional! Taia and véro are lovely hosts and will make sure you feel 100% comfortable. The breakfast is plenty and the place is spacious and clean. Awesome location, 1minute from the ocean, very quite. Taia made us one night dinner and it was soooo delicious. I recommend to stay there. If we find ourselves in tiputa again, we will stay with taia and véro again.

Situated in Avatoru in the Rangiroa region, Poe Guesthouse features a terrace and inner courtyard views. This guest house features free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. We were staying at a new apartment and we loved the style and handmade decorations. What is really special about that place is the owner- she makes the best ambience, take care of the guests herself and goes far beyond the expectations. Also best breakfast we had during our stay in French Polinesia.

Bungalow Kahaia Lodge is set in Avatoru. This property offers access to a terrace, table tennis, free private parking and free WiFi. Great location, walking distance to a great sandy beach. Perfect for paddleboarding, snorkeling, water walking. Easy walk to restaurants. Owners are super friendly have lived here for decades. They know everyone and it was easy to book excursions through them. The bungalow is brand new. Quiet location and great A/C and kitchenette. The owners have taken alot of pride in the bungalow and it shows. Fresh passion fruit and baguette brought every morning for breakfast!

Chez Guy, vue sur l'océan is situated in Tiputa and offers free bikes and a garden. The property has inner courtyard views. We expected our stay in Tiputa to be slightly off the beaten path - and it was, for the best of it! The property is at the "remote" end of the village, on the ocean shore - enjoy the noise of breakers during the night! First floor, nice view. No light pollution - enjoy the view of the Milky Way at night. Beyond the beauty of Rangiroa (expected), we were warmly welcome by the owner's family, who did everything to make us feel at home. Bread, butter, jam were offered for breakfast, and the "restaurant" they recommended was... the neighbor's yard, with 4 tables and a "beware of the dog" sign on the porch. The dog is nice and well-behaved, the cook very friendly and focused on healthy local dishes with fresh (garden-plucked) ingredients, which were outstanding (and more than decently priced)! Thank you for everything, this was a highlight of our vacation in Tahiti.

The host and their family were very friendly, helpful and thoughtful people. We would definitely recommend staying there. They also offer excursions. Rangiroa Cottage is situated in Avatoru and offers a garden and a bar. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. This place is beautiful, very comfortable and extremely well located. I was in both of the high-end hotels on Rangiroa during my stay, and I felt that Rangiroa Cottage was just as nice. If you prefer the independence of staying in a home, then this is a far superior option. On top of that, it is much cheaper.

Located in Avatoru, Rangi Pearl Lodge features free bikes, a garden and barbecue facilities. This holiday home provides free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. The reception was warm and caring. When I left the lady who dropped me off to the airport gave me a flower necklace and I felt warm with this gift. The support in terms of tips and care was exceptional. They even have bikes available to use, which was my transport in the island. The place is ideal for solo traveler or a couple, is a studio with all you need and everything clean and modern.There are close restaurants and market but the beach is a bit faraway to go by bike.
