Situated next to the Umeälven River in central Umeå, this hotel is 800 metres from Umeå Central Station. It offers free WiFi, a lobby lounge, as well as free access to a fitness centre and sauna. Breakfast selection was good and the location was great. There's a super market just around the corner. The sauna was wonderful and the beds were super comfy (even the pillows were great)! The staff was friendly and helpful!

Very close to all busses and down town. Only a 10 min walk to train station. Clean ,cool, modern and friendly staff !

Centrally located in Umeå and 50 metres from River Umeälven, this contemporary hotel has self-service check-in kiosks. The Women's History Museum is located next door to this hotel. Everything was perfect. We booked a room with view on the river and that was breathtaking. The room had panoramic views on all of its width. The decor was modern and fully practical. The bathroom had a very efficient air system so that it dried completely within 12 hours or so. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Staff were really nice, polite and helpful. Digital check-in: just take every step as advised on the screen and if difficulty the staff will help. And on top of all this, we found that the cost was low compared to the quality of the room and breakfast (included), which was useful as we stayed 3 nights, so worth checking this hotel if in Umea.

Hotell Gamla Fängelset is a converted prison from 1861 located in central Umeå and offers free WiFi and breakfast. All rooms have windows and shared bathroom facilities. We stayed at the Annexet appartment and it was a fantastic stay. Very spacious, clean, with fully equipped kitchen. The breakfast buffet had a very good variety. The staff was helpful and polite. City center is within walking distance and bus stops are at convenient distance, too.

Set in a former medical officer’s villa, this central Umeå hotel is 100 metres from the Ume River. Sauna, relaxation area and WiFi access are free, as is a light evening buffet. Good location, good staff. We had barking dog in other room, so after mentioning this at reception we got a free change to an upgraded room type. Thank you!
